On Trayvon Martin

Please, don’t get me wrong.

Trayvon Martin will not know what happens to Zimmerman;  he is gone from us and facing eternity.  All of the rallying and calls for justice is to suit who?  Those who want to know that a sick racist man cannot get away with killing Trayvon.

Who are the “those”? ‘Those” who are concerned about the Trayvons of this world?

“Lawdy, we are tired of injustice in the Black community!”  Is this true or does worldwide action take place only when Trayvon’s get annihilated by non-Black perps?

“Those” are quite selective in expressing genuine concern for young Black males who are killed for no reason and before their time.

Those that watch the Trayvons just about every day and flip the channel when it is Black-on-Black crime.

Those that have the same kind of animus in their hearts towards the “kinds” of people they don’t like:  homos, thugs, chinks, Puerto-Ricans, right-winged Christians, Arabs, drug addicts, and the list goes on.

“Those” who joke with the Zimmerman-types at work or at the bar.

“Those” protesters, spokespersons, justice-seekers, politicians and folks who want to see justice have every right to use their influence to make sure another Black male hasn’t been killed with a seal of approval from the US justice system.  However, the same activists need to use their same influence to make sure the Trayvons that yet breathe and live will have the benefit of such concern to preserve and guard young Black males, even when it means we have to rally against our own in the Black community. Racism drove Zimmerman. A gang initiation, drugs, and sheer foolishness drives Black folks to cut and kill each other every day.  Let’s put some hoodies on and talk about that.

NYPD BIASED IN HATE CRIME INVESTIGATION

Get ready for this one, folks.

There has been a news story in New York for the past few days regarding 4 NYC stores that were defaced with Anti-Semitic symbols and language.  The NYPD, one of the so-called most advanced police departments in the world-with its own intelligence-that NYPD, has released footage of four persons of interest.

NY1 and the Daily News have blatantly associated the four suspects in the released footage as racists and the culprits.  This characterization is consistent with the toilet paper gutter news organizations that they have both become known to be.  What these idiots have not considered is that those four individuals in footage may not have had anything to do with the crime.

I have no criminal justice education or experience.  Yet, eating enough Wheaties has fueled this brain enough to know when things do not add up, or make sense.

One of the four persons in the footage went to her local police department last evening along with her representation.  She stated that the local detectives told her there was nothing they could do to assist her, because higher ups were on this case.  K.  Your face and image is plastered all over the news for being associated with this hate crime, and the local NYPD can’t do a thing to protect you, when their release of the footage has put you in harm’s way for any nutjob who wants to go overboard because of the inflammatory media coverage.

The young lady stated she waited for the Manhattan detectives to arrive and they presented her with additional footage, which was not yet released in the media. ASIDE:  How come this information I am relaying to you isn’t all over the internet through news media outlets, and they are supposed to be following this situation?  Might it be because journalism has become so degenerative that what makes print and press is what Bloomberg and a few lazy detectives have to say?

Back to the point.   The young lady stated that she adamantly told the detectives that what they saw on the additional footage was not anyone defacing the store window.  The young man was simply pointing to an item.  She also stated that the detectives wanted to know WHY the four of them met in the store, WHY one of them went onto the lower level and looked at something in a corner, and a bunch of stupid questions to ask about people who were mere patrons.  Do people stop at racks and pick up an item and look at it?  Is it suspicious behavior to meet a group of friends to hang out in the NYC for the day?  Is it suspicious activity to point at a store window?  How about smudge your face on the window?  How about touch the store door handles?

Idiocy supreme.

Might people who commandeer huge salaries do the following:

Look at the footage of the three other stores that were part of the hate crime “spree”. You might find the same person or persons on the footage in or in front of the stores.  That’s a better correlation of suspect behavior that targeting four people who met up at one store, with no other compelling footage.

Don’t assume all the persons of interest are Asian.  Idiocy-or bias-galore. At least two of those persons on the footage are Black.

It’s an alarming day in America when you meet up with some friends to go to Bryant Park at a local store and have to hire an attorney and be plastered all over the television and internet as racists, when all you did was get your image captured on video footage in conjunction with your friends because you patronized a store that has now become a crime location.  It is more horrific when family and friends alert you all day long that you were on a crime spree, according to the news, in three other stores you never patronized.

Shop alone so dingbat copism doesn’t put you at risk because you were in a group of people who were within the jurisdiction of a racist NYPD.  The Mayor and police might emphasize that these people are persons of interest who may have information about this crime in their public commentary; this would be too unbiased in investigating a biased crime where the NYPD has released images of Black folk as racists,  now wouldn’t it?

Overnight, people whose worst judgment led them to hang out in a Japanese store can lose their jobs, have to defend themselves and be associated as racists in the public eye because the NYPD and the low-grade journalists have done it once again: towed the lines of ethics and decency and just may mess up innocent people’s lives.

Update:  An anti-Semitic bandit strikes in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn.  Does this mean that the NYPD will broaden their scope of people of interest?  Let’s hope they find the real culprit/s.  And, then they might want to really start having this much gumption and dedication when Anti-Black folks hang nooses.

The Help

I attended a pre-screening of DreamWorks Pictures August 10th film release  “The Help”.  This movie was hilarious!

Some notable thoughts:

1.  One of the film co-stars, Octavia Spencer, plays the character “Minny” and her performance reminds me of the “Dream Girls” Jennifer Hudson/Beyonce acting upstage.  Minny makes this movie all by herself, if that were possible.  Although Octavia isn’t the top billed actress, she does an outstanding job of bringing a Black woman’s “tude” to light.

2.  The Help’s  subject matter is the kind of stuff that could make Black folks mad once again.  However the writing, storyline and acting does a great job of making what could otherwise be weighty,  lighthearted, and does so without sacrificing the import of what Black women endured while working in a racist rural South.

3.  The Help is a bit long but doesn’t have one dull moment.  This is a clean movie that the entire family should see and prepare to have engaging conversation about racism, sexism and our nation’s history.

4.  Amidst the context of southern gentility riddled with racism and sexism, the feminine frailties prove strong enough to muddle through life as is, with alliances, allegiances and synergy where the story of The Help is ultimately told.  Cat fights are kitten fights in this film where all symbolic fingernails are in tact by the final scene and curtsey.

Is Dove’s Ad Racist?

WHAT MESSAGE DO YOU SEE?

This advertisement has stirred up quite a bit of controversy for Dove and the advertising agency that obviously doesn’t have enough Black or non-White executives to get an effective reading on the “racism” meter. Ridiculoids extraordinaire ought get some There Has To Be Racism de-programming.

Mulloverthis takes issue with the misreading and marking of this advertisement as racism on a few grounds:

1.  The presence of Black executives, or Latinas and the like, does not necessarily mean that the subtle and/or overt messages from advertisements will be non-racist, or are more likely to be non-racist when critical eyes will find racism in a banana peel.

2.  Had the voluptuous Black model been last and the Caucausion model been first (from left to right), then the critique from those who nourish themselves with Over-Black or Leftist Justice Juice would find the imagery relayed the “Black don’t crack” stereotype and complain about the that, when clearly, the before and after images of skin shows with Dove, skin-be it Black, Caucausion and the like-doesn’t crack or in more acceptable wording, “is smooth”.

3.  Alas, we get a full-figured Black woman with a full head of non-straight hair as a depiction of beauty, and bird-brains still cry wrong representation.

4.  The juxtaposition of the three models does not mean that they read in comparison to one another to assess the effectiveness of Dove upon the skin type based upon ethnicity or race;  The pre-programmed paranoid racist mind is trained to see that as opposed to seeing what Dove soap will do for three beautiful women (probably representative of any woman), varying in complexion, build, ethnicity and skin-type.

This type of hoopla is well within the trenches of ridiculousness.

Are advertisement executives supposed to create work product to cater to those who are so inundated with self-hatred that they would believe they would be more beautiful as they tranformed from a bigger Black woman into a smaller Caucasian woman with straight hair? Is this what the ad relays or what people who need self-esteem read?

Joan Rivers Called Michelle Obama Blackie O.

Joan Rivers, my absolute favorite comedienne, told Howard Stern, the lord of decrepitude, that she refrained from calling Michelle Obama “Blackie O” onstage because she knew it would offend African-Americans.  The joke was along the lines of “We used to have Jackie O…now we have Blackie O.”

Of course, quixotic African-Americans are already on the prowl to let Ms. Rivers “have it” for which can only be in truth and at its’ greatest worth,  hypercritical pontifications.  

To my fellow countrymen I say:

1.  Hast thou ever chachinnated whilst harkening to the illustrious vituperations from the Crowned King of The Idiocy of White People, Paul Mooney?  Mightest thou be presently queasy with paroxysm from the convulsions of  ill-requited hypocrite juice?

2.  To wit,  the JAP and  BAP acronyms are often affectionately esteemed by the privileged personas to whom they are often directed: the promising cusp of the upper middle class, the wealthy, and  Jewish American and Black American Princesses, respectively. The JAP simply wanted to snap on the BAP.

3.  Hast the farcical performances which causes an anamnesis for Blue Collar Comedians and audiences alike generated billions of dollars for the crowned King Jeff Foxworthy and his sidekicks because Rednecks don’t exist?

4.  SO WHAT!

Joan Rivers is a comedian and that is what comics do:  go to the line and push it.  She said she DID NOT use the joke out of sensitivity, which is more than what 99% of Black comics would do.  Whitey had no rest while the Bushes were in office.

The head of the New Century Foundation and racial realist Jared Taylor is peeved that the Charlotte, North Carolina hotel has reneged and  pulled the rug from under their conference because of safety concerns.

This is a bunch of bull.

Safety concerns?  Who is going to do anything violent to a bunch of white supremacists who have dumb-downed their jargon to be a bit more tasteful and politically correct in 2011?  Uh, people with their ideologies are the ones with the history of unparalleled efforts to subjugate other people and wreak violence throughout the ages.  The Black Panthers haven’t struck in a long time and those that aren’t grinding the midnight oil at a corporate cubicle probably can’t even rev up their motorbikes to get to Charlotte.

So, I say, let these ridiculoids meet wherever they want to, so long as they:

1.  Pay the bill.  Addendum:  They don’t deserve discounts.  As premiere nationalists who know what is best for America, they should want to help this deficit as much as is humanely possible.

2.  Keep the sheets on their beds, not on their faces.

3.  Use a boat-load of hand sanitizers.  Remember, Charlotte is replete with a bunch of non-thems and no one else should be infested with their germs when they are finished strategizing on how to maintain the purity of their “themness”.

Is this ludicrous or is this ludicrous?

A straight nutjob meets a man, sleeps with him two seconds after instantaneously, and gets to sue him for “rape by deception”?  Had this woman spent time over coffee before jumping in bed with a man that she does not know-I mean just enough time to sip a cup of coffee slowly-she might have asked him if he was an Arab or delved into his ancestry since this fact is so important to her. I can know absolutely nothing about this man, go to a rooftop and have sex with a complete stranger, so long as he is not Arab.  This insane thought pattern should never be legitimized under the law.    Forget the racism involved.  If Ms. Hotstuff is so free with her body, health and well-being, she should have a burden to do her own due diligence to find out whether a man with a Jewish nickname is actually a Jew.

Who in their right minds, actually allowed a person who has no regard for her own life to have standing to sue or be protected under the law under these circumstances?  Who?  Who?  She was deceived because she put blinders on.  She threw ALL judgment out of the window of her brain, which may never even have existed within in the first place, and went to a rooftop to have sex with a man who could have tossed her over the building. 

Some things make Mulloverthis have to take a few seconds to blog and this here ridiculousness is one of them.

Next thought:  What if this Rape By Deception existed in the United States?  Most men and women we know would be in jail right now.

Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Revisited

For all the racial profiling assessors regarding the Louis Henry Gates, Jr. arrest, looks like the record of the 911 call and the released notes from the arresting and other officers clearly demonstrates that some people need to leave “THE MAN” alone.

Knowledge is power. Nonetheless, people who live to be right in their own eyes will still try to extract some adverse racial motivations from actions and dialogue in the highly over-publicizied incident when there was none. At least on the part of Crowley, the arresting officer, towards Gates.

Now, Mr. Gates is reputedly calling for the nation to move on. This magnanimous stance is quite convenient as it comes after the transcripts and notes show Gates escalated and really charged the entire incident and called a cop with a good record a “racist” simply because the cop did his job and had a spat with Gates, a Black man.

Obama needs to think again when attempting to defend any of his homeboys. Correction: “esteemed colleagues”.

The Man and the Arrest of Henry Louis Gates

Again, “The Man” is at play and causing a ruckus with the arrest and four-hour detainment of Yale Graduate and Harvard Professor, Henry Louis Gates. By now, you would think that Black folks and “conscious” folks of other races would abandon the notion of “The Man”, who gets too much credit in situations where common sense is overridden and self-responsibility is despised. It is much easier to cry racism and point to a plethora of social behavioral theories than to accept the bare-boned truth. Sometimes Black people do stupid stuff and racial bias has absolutely nothing to do with the situation.

First, a call is made to the police because Mr. Gates allegedly appeared to be breaking into his home. Apparently, the door was jammed. Questions flare about why the police was even called. Of course anyone in a residential neighborhood who witnesses someone trying to force a door ajar should call the police. People break into homes in broad daylight. Doctors murder their own wives in broad daylight. Mr. Henry Louis Gates lives in the real world where men just like him-not just stereotypical younger Black male thugs-commit heinous crimes. Accomplished, affluent, successful people often find themselves in prison garb for quite some time because they have committed crimes.

Mr. Gates was allegedly into his home by the time the police confrontation began. Allegedly, the cops knew exactly who he was when they arrested him. There is a huge gap-between when Mr. Gates supplied proof of identity and was arrested-that Mulloverthis is not willing to suppose is filled with improper behavior by law enforcement simply because Mr. Gates is a Black man. Mr. Gates was allegedly “shocked” that after he proved who he was, the incident continued.

Having had to prove TWICE that I lived in my own house because the burglar alarm went off in the middle of the night, I disengaged it, and answered the calls from the alarm company with the appropriate code, I know how aggravating it is to look at law enforcement (two white officers) who challenged me because of what could have actually been “suspect”. However, having an appreciation for law enforcement-the same fellas that might have been answering the same call if I actually had a gun pointed to my head by an intruder-governed my disposition in getting my license, a piece of mail with my name and address on it, and answering numerous questions. There was no unseemly conduct or display of irritation to the point where after having established my identity, I could have been arrested for disorderly conduct. By the way, being one who is more than averse on my legal rights and most knowingly and audibly equipped to express them, I could have stopped the officers much sooner than they chose to stop in both encounters inside the home where I LIVE. However, I did not. I worked with the program. Mulloverthis smiled and thanked the officers both times, although I could have been indignant.

Law enforcement cannot cease to stop a swerving car because Jesse Jackson may be in it, or fail to make initial inquiries because Black people are involved. Nor, should law enforcement have to be disrespected, interrogated, or challenged because they have to do their job. Those cops did not know who Henry Louis Gates was when they received the call to his property, and even if they did, so what. Yaleducativism, Harvardism, and African-American intelligencia does not absolve anyone-including Mr. Gates-from knowing that law enforcement must be respected, even if they want to be tough guys/gals. The cops were within reason to confirm Gates’ identity and then ensure that there was nothing “fishy” going on, despite the fact they were dealing with the “Henry Louis Gates”.

If the depth and breadth of Mr. Gates’ interaction with the Cambridge police consisted of him providing identification and fully cooperating with the officers, then the officers do need to offer an apology. If not, Mr. Gates and his supporters need to sit down somewhere and eat some chocolate.

Meanwhile, Mulloverthis chooses to commend the people who help to keep our neighborhoods safe and when everyday “good” people do bad things, sometimes have to put their lives in danger to muddle through the particulars. Thumbs up to law enforcement.

Bill O’Reilly on MJ

Right on Bill. 

Groovy.

You hit the nail on the head and smashed it, with a few exceptions.

Although Sharpton has been a long-time friend of the Jackson family, he is ”milking” the moment.   

MJ was just an entertainer to many.  Not all Black folks are drinking the kool aid on this one and certainly many of us have not “heroized”, or deified Michael Jackson.  Personally, MJ’s life was tragic and he did not live a life that anyone should want to emulate.  Human compassion causes the good in us to want to see the good in others.  So, even in death, as with most human beings, we don’t focus on all of the gutter talking points on a person’s life.  But the reality is, Michael Jackson did not provide an ideal life for celebrity children as they were reputedly never around any other children (while MJ has been quoted numerous  times as saying children were the only reason worth living) and significantly deprived them of normal socialization skills.  MJ’s conscious construction of his children through ensuring their sperm donors were White and carving their nifty womb-for-hire mothers out of their lives wreak of self-hatred.  Self-loathing Blacks could not have had a better spokesperson, being that MJ planned to and did legally procreate non-Black children, and actually “de-Blacked” himself as much as he could.  Forget the debt factor in relation to the philanthropic giving.  His spending on medication–allegedly because of  drug dependency–in what really needs to be examined.  Additionally, no well-adjusted stable grown man walks around in underwear entertaining and befriending young boys whether there was literal pedophilic contact or not.  People have the audacity to laud MJ for being a great father while living a life allegedly riddled with drug addiction.  I will have to agree with you, that only in this country can someone be so visibly inept and then celebrated because he was a paramount entertainer.  FYI Bill:  Many African Americans raise their children NOT to be like Michael Jackson.  Who wants to live and probably not be genuinely fulfilled?

Lastly Bill, you have conveniently overlooked a number of other endearing commentaries from White people during MJ’s celebration of life that was more than delusional.  Brooke Shields immediately comes to mind.   Please be equitable and just in your disdain for the post-mortem crowning of MJ by his fans, which may be quite difficult for you as is often the case for White folk who try to analyze Black folk.  By the way, some of MJ’s largest and most lucrative concerts were played before audiences of people that looked like MJ’s kids, MJ after enough plastic surgery to re-compose himself, and your own (Bill O’Reilly’s) family–White people.  So, the absurd international influence MJ has had has never been a Black thing, and cannot ever credibly be characterized as such.

Note:  Clearly, MJ’s fan base is not solely comprised of African-Americans and White people.  MJ’s influence crossed all so-called barriers and stratifications.  This post is specifically designed to respond to the criticism of Bill O’Reilly and his take on the media and public’s reaction to MJ’s death.
