Le’Andria Johnson Pregnant Again

by MullOverThis

This is public knowledge, now.

Many are talking about the proper recourse for this gospel singer.  Should she be penalized for being pregnant when she probably is no different that others in her shoes (music artists), or worshippers who fornicate anyway?

Well, the answer isn’t complicated.  We don’t ever sanction an right response to wrong based upon what everyone else who is doing wrong is or is not enduring.  We don’t decide whether a murderer–an extreme example simply to make the point–should be dealt with justly, based upon all the other free murderers who have not been busted and sentenced.

One common response has been, she hasn’t done any wrong that everyone else hasn’t done.  Everybody does something wrong.

Let’s address that, too:

We stand before a Holy God, right now. And, when we have done wrong, we’ve got to be ACCOUNTABLE to God and to one another. So, yes, correction is appropriate. A fornicating pastor found out needs to SIT down and so does a public worshipper who can’t manage to stop fornicating. Period. The church is not refrained from its call to bring correction and maintain the standard that everything goes, cuz we all sin nonsense. Keep reading…we all fall short BUT because of Christ, we didn’t stay there. We have victory and should–at some point–conquer sin. And, if we can’t, put the mike down and work on doing just that. Be the testimony that we want to sing about.

For Le’Andria, she does depict God’s grace.  God’s grace also includes His love and reproof.  The charge for the church to bring correction and present leaders that can live what we preach and sing about must be upheld.  I’ll love Le’Andria no less.  In fact, I hope to love her even more.  However, she needs to sit her behind down and figure out how to get enough of this foot stompin, Holy Ghost movin’ power to keep her legs closed until she is in a covenant relationship with a husband.

Amen?

Amen.

On Trayvon Martin

by MullOverThis

Please, don’t get me wrong.

Trayvon Martin will not know what happens to Zimmerman;  he is gone from us and facing eternity.  All of the rallying and calls for justice is to suit who?  Those who want to know that a sick racist man cannot get away with killing Trayvon.

Who are the “those”? ‘Those” who are concerned about the Trayvons of this world?

“Lawdy, we are tired of injustice in the Black community!”  Is this true or does worldwide action take place only when Trayvon’s get annihilated by non-Black perps?

“Those” are quite selective in expressing genuine concern for young Black males who are killed for no reason and before their time.

Those that watch the Trayvons just about every day and flip the channel when it is Black-on-Black crime.

Those that have the same kind of animus in their hearts towards the “kinds” of people they don’t like:  homos, thugs, chinks, Puerto-Ricans, right-winged Christians, Arabs, drug addicts, and the list goes on.

“Those” who joke with the Zimmerman-types at work or at the bar.

“Those” protesters, spokespersons, justice-seekers, politicians and folks who want to see justice have every right to use their influence to make sure another Black male hasn’t been killed with a seal of approval from the US justice system.  However, the same activists need to use their same influence to make sure the Trayvons that yet breathe and live will have the benefit of such concern to preserve and guard young Black males, even when it means we have to rally against our own in the Black community. Racism drove Zimmerman. A gang initiation, drugs, and sheer foolishness drives Black folks to cut and kill each other every day.  Let’s put some hoodies on and talk about that.

Nuff said.

NYPD BIASED IN HATE CRIME INVESTIGATION

by MullOverThis

Get ready for this one, folks.

There has been a news story in New York for the past few days regarding 4 NYC stores that were defaced with Anti-Semitic symbols and language.  The NYPD, one of the so-called most advanced police departments in the world-with its own intelligence-that NYPD, has released footage of four persons of interest.

NY1 and the Daily News have blatantly associated the four suspects in the released footage as racists and the culprits.  This characterization is consistent with the toilet paper gutter news organizations that they have both become known to be.  What these idiots have not considered is that those four individuals in footage may not have had anything to do with the crime.

I have no criminal justice education or experience.  Yet, eating enough Wheaties has fueled this brain enough to know when things do not add up, or make sense.

One of the four persons in the footage went to her local police department last evening along with her representation.  She stated that the local detectives told her there was nothing they could do to assist her, because higher ups were on this case.  K.  Your face and image is plastered all over the news for being associated with this hate crime, and the local NYPD can’t do a thing to protect you, when their release of the footage has put you in harm’s way for any nutjob who wants to go overboard because of the inflammatory media coverage.

The young lady stated she waited for the Manhattan detectives to arrive and they presented her with additional footage, which was not yet released in the media. ASIDE:  How come this information I am relaying to you isn’t all over the internet through news media outlets, and they are supposed to be following this situation?  Might it be because journalism has become so degenerative that what makes print and press is what Bloomberg and a few lazy detectives have to say?

Back to the point.   The young lady stated that she adamantly told the detectives that what they saw on the additional footage was not anyone defacing the store window.  The young man was simply pointing to an item.  She also stated that the detectives wanted to know WHY the four of them met in the store, WHY one of them went onto the lower level and looked at something in a corner, and a bunch of stupid questions to ask about people who were mere patrons.  Do people stop at racks and pick up an item and look at it?  Is it suspicious behavior to meet a group of friends to hang out in the NYC for the day?  Is it suspicious activity to point at a store window?  How about smudge your face on the window?  How about touch the store door handles?

Idiocy supreme.

Might people who commandeer huge salaries do the following:

Look at the footage of the three other stores that were part of the hate crime “spree”. You might find the same person or persons on the footage in or in front of the stores.  That’s a better correlation of suspect behavior that targeting four people who met up at one store, with no other compelling footage.

Don’t assume all the persons of interest are Asian.  Idiocy-or bias-galore. At least two of those persons on the footage are Black.

It’s an alarming day in America when you meet up with some friends to go to Bryant Park at a local store and have to hire an attorney and be plastered all over the television and internet as racists, when all you did was get your image captured on video footage in conjunction with your friends because you patronized a store that has now become a crime location.  It is more horrific when family and friends alert you all day long that you were on a crime spree, according to the news, in three other stores you never patronized.

Shop alone so dingbat copism doesn’t put you at risk because you were in a group of people who were within the jurisdiction of a racist NYPD.  The Mayor and police might emphasize that these people are persons of interest who may have information about this crime in their public commentary; this would be too unbiased in investigating a biased crime where the NYPD has released images of Black folk as racists,  now wouldn’t it?

Overnight, people whose worst judgment led them to hang out in a Japanese store can lose their jobs, have to defend themselves and be associated as racists in the public eye because the NYPD and the low-grade journalists have done it once again: towed the lines of ethics and decency and just may mess up innocent people’s lives.

MullOverThis

Update:  An anti-Semitic bandit strikes in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn.  Does this mean that the NYPD will broaden their scope of people of interest?  Let’s hope they find the real culprit/s.  And, then they might want to really start having this much gumption and dedication when Anti-Black folks hang nooses.

Politically Correct Vegetable Lasagna

by MullOverThis

Folks, I’m outdone with this here recipe myself.  The age of acceptance is so influential that nothing is sacred, as is.  Not even lasagna.  Everything has to be revised and adjustable to the point where something can no longer be what it is, and our “brains” tell us that it is what the politically correct say it is.

One of my BFF’s told me she had this fantastic vegetable lasagna.  As an amateur Foodie, I tell her to get the recipe.  Homegirl tells me the lasagna was made out of:

White potatoes (rather than hi-calorie pasta), a rich homemade soup broth (instead of marinara sauce), no ricotta, zucchini and a bunch of other chopped vegetables, mozzarella and sprinkled with parmesan.  So, I summarized the dish as it registered in my  mind and repeated the ingredients to homegirl:  Potatoes, zucchini and other diced veggies, broth, mozzarella and topped with parmesan?  I got an affirmative answer.  I declared, “That is not lasagna.”

2012 Politically Correct Lasagna (Disclaimer: not an actual representation of the dish in question)

2012 Politically Correct Lasagna (Disclaimer: not an actual representation of the dish in question)

Do you believe what I got in response?  The recipe came from a PROFESSIONAL world-renowned chef;  there are alternatives to traditional lasagna.  The chef can call it what he thinks it is, and just because I don’t think it’s not lasagna, doesn’t mean it isn’t lasagna.  Some things are subjective, and this lasagna recipe-without lasagna noodles or any type of pasta-is one of them.  The chef has millions of people who eat his recipes, so because he called it lasagna, what the restof the world might deem as  variant vegetable scalloped potatoes is lasagna.  Meanwhile, I’m was online perusing 50 dictionary definitions of lasagna and wondering if the world has become so politically correct, that we “buy” anything.  By the way, no objective definition of lasagna gave room for a baked dish without the self-named pasta or some type of Italian sauce. But the chef is a PROFESSIONAL so there is no need to discuss whether it is lasagna, or not.

With this recipe, lasagna must be  any prepared food with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.  Politically correct lasagna requires NO pasta.  Not even spaghetti. Who needs pasta or Italian when a renowned Chef calls a white potato based entrée, lasagna?   Completely forget pasta in your concept of 2011 Professional Chef lasagna.  Forget marinara, tomatoes or any kind of alternative Italian sauce.  Broth is the new lasagna sauce!

As a tribute to this newfound enlightenment (I can’t even type this without laughing in disbelief), I offer a secret recipe for FRIED RICE:

1 box of orzo

1/2 red bell pepper

1/2 green/yellow pepper

a stalk of scallions

3/4 plum tomatoes

about 1/2 of your biggest finger size of fresh ginger

1 large clove of fresh garlic (garlic lovers, add less garlic; remember, this is a politically correct recipe)

a couple of tablespoons of olive oil

Prepare orzo as directed on pasta box;  Rice is not needed for this fried rice recipe.

Saute all other ingredients peeled, chopped finely and par-cooked.  Add drained orzo and continue to sauté.  Add some all spice, such as adobo and a hint of ground black pepper and paprika.

Serve hot, cold, or room temperature.  I love it room temperature.

Serve to loved ones and let them know that the world and their outlook toward food is changing.  This is the new Vegetable Fried Rice.  A nice complimentary side dish would be some politically correct spinach lasagna, without the oven, pasta, sauce or cheese.  Just mix some fresh spinach with sliced mushrooms, red peppers and sprinkle some sunflower seeds and dried red cranberries.  We used to call this a bed of spinach salad.

I think I just may take this concept and open an eatery on Capitol Hill.

P.S. Other than this here commitment to defering to an impressive chef, the good girlfriend is otherwise one of the most sane, sound people I know.

Shame on Paul White & Her Croonies

by MullOverThis

Check this out:  Paula White and her former husband, Randy, divorced.  Randy pastored their mega church.  After the mega was going minor, clearly Paula came back and assumed the role as Senior Pastor.  She is the one with the world-wide ministry and “name”.

Zachary and Riva Tims divorce.  They were at some point in time, allegedly a son and daughter of Paula White when they were still married and co-pastored the NDCC.  Upon the divorce, Riva Tims was not permitted to come to the NDCC.  Go figure, because she helped to plant and water that ministry.  Nonetheless, the drug-addicted world-galavanting pastor passed away, with the public awaiting a toxicology report.  For what? To see if “Zach” laid down as opposed to “Pastor Zachery”, according to the illustrious split-personalities Bishop TD Jakes introduced at Tims’ funeral to try to Biblically justify the NDCC pastor’s heinous lifestyle?  Normally viral cheating husbands who spend boat-loads of money on trips with women and drugs aren’t our ideal men.  Only when one hosts TBN, has a bunch of high-profile ministry friends and a big church does this “type” become a poor hero.

Anyway, NDCC church board members don’t even meet with the other church founder, Pastor Riva Tims, in appointing a successor.  They continue in the spirit of their former pastor who banned his ex-wife from her pastoral role at NDCC.

Clear-cut message folks:  Riva was banned from NDCC because of personal issues.  Do I need to type the obvious conclusion, here?  They put her out of the way, and now who is out of the way?  NDCC needs a new leader and Paula White comes to save the day.  What makes Paula White think someone who had that church in her vision, labored and spent years of her life to build for the Lord shouldn’t even be afforded a meeting?  The same Paula White that went back to Without Walls and salvaged her works that she put her life into?  Oh, yeah.  I’m sure it’s the same Paula White.

Although church leadership and successorship isn’t based upon natural lineage because Christ’s lineage as the High Priest to the Body of Christ after the order of Melchizedic undoes this concept (there is no traceable biological lineage), clearly, when God has called, equipped, prepared, ordained and released one to serve as a leader in planting and shepherding, His will isn’t a board room decision.

Paula White needs to go somewhere and have a seat.  I suggest it not be NDCC.  For months, the church parishioners have stated they want their “Mother” back.  Paula needs to step out of the way and the Board of Directors at NDCC need to let Riva Tims be restored to a ministry that she has had the LIFE to lead.  This matter shouldn’t have ever arrived at the point where Riva has to sue to be reinstated as NDCC leader.

Vermin Gain on Hermain Cain

by MullOverThis

Seems like Mr. Cain should have read my manual for politicians with game who think they won’t get busted.

Don’t run for office if you know you just ended a 13-year affair with a woman who had nothing to lose.  Homegirl is on television, admitting she is so low to the ground that she can kiss ants in the mouth. Is Herman Cain an ant? Only da could-be mistress, God and Herman Cain know. If he is an ant, a crawler who lives low to the ground and you can’t get much lower than that, Mrs. Cain ought to know. Thirteen years is a long time to not have a clue.

Who brags about being a woman good enough to stay in the closet for a man for 13 years?  Who?  Clearly, MullOverThis needs to supply every aspiring and veteran politician with this manual.

As the vermin gain on Mr. Cain, it will be interesting to see if he drops out, or not.  Although things smell a bit fishy, dirty campaign tactics-to dig up and supply the public with all sorts of unethical pants down with the oopsy in places where it’s not supposed be allegations-ought to backfire.

The Kim Kardashian Marriage Fiasco: What Most People are Missing

by MullOverThis

First, MullOverThis believes that when people marry, they should stay married, except there be some just cause for divorce or separation that justifies dishonoring the marriage covenant.  But everybody does not believe this.  Some people marry left and right, as often as a clean person changes undergarments.

What most people are missing is this:  Kim Kardashian is NO DIFFERENT than many of today’s women who get married.  While just about everyone is citing the number of days she managed to stay married, we need to look at the number of days most people who get annulments, stay married.  We can also examine the number of marriages that fail in less than 2-3 years from couples who cannot AFFORD to hire the best divorce attorneys and call in a moving team to take me to the east coast home, the mid-western retreat or the west coast home on the bay.  Kim is in the same position of women who say, “I do,” knowing that they “don’t” long before they arrive at the altar.

One of my friends had last-minute jitters right before her wedding.  She isn’t the number one celebrity featured on magazine covers in 2010, the queen of  reality television, and an appearance or photo shoot personality who commands millions of dollars each year.  This friend makes good mullah;   I invested almost $4,000 to participate in her wedding festivities, having split most of the bridal party costs with 5 other women.  The friend  spent ONLY $7,000.00 on her dress.  Her wedding festivities only cost around $85,000.00, and we won’t even address the comparable size and cost of her platinum wedding ring, all  kept to a reasonable amount because she and the hubby bought a nice home.  They wanted to be ”prudent”.  Look at one hand and add a couple of fingers.  This same amount of years later, although they are committed to working things out,  they often have near-Kramer vs. Kramer moments.

When I told the friend not to marry her husband because she really didn’t love him the way a wife needs to love a man for the rest of their lives, she told me it was okay.  Of course, she thought of all the work that had gone into the wedding, the public embarrassment, and all the things that really don’t matter when you find out you are living with someone that you may love, but are probably incompatible.  Too may women succumb to the pressure of age, the desire for babies, and to be socially acceptable in kidding themselves as they hyphenate their last names and sign on the dotted line.

I have another friend whose wedding day festivities were approximately $1.4 million dollars.  Her wedding ring cost over $100,00.00.  She is divorced today.  Wealthy people are not excluded from the same mistakes everyday people make.  They just tend to make them on a much larger scale and when they are famous, the entire world knows about it.

Yeah, Kim Kardashian is a brat and because of producers and cameras we can gaugue  all of her personal flaws.  The fixation the public has with her has made just about every private moment of her life profitable, to the point where this one is worth more tweets and headlines than addressing our nation’s economy.

Amy Whinehouse Final Autopsy

by MullOverThis

The cause of Amy Whinehouse’s death is extreme alcohol consumption.  Although others speculated the British signing sensation may have passed due to unsupervised withdrawal from alcohol, the final autopsy reveals the cause of death.

This is disheartening and sad.  Not because she was famous or a talented artist, but because she was a lost soul who battled with so much that her avoidance led her to a lifestyle that put her into an early grave.

Animal Cruelty Vs. Public Safety

by MullOverThis

Homeowners cannot kill squirrels, raccoons, opossums, wild cats and all kinds of wildlife that vilify our homes, where I live.  We have to hire a wild life service or set humane traps and check them every 24 hours to ensure that if one of these creatures gets caught, they are not cruelly killed.

Yet  according to a Huffington Post report,  Ohio police respond to a bunch of roaming “exotic” animals that escaped an animal farm by shooting them.   Were any efforts made to get experts, animal associations, or wildlife advocates on the scene to try to capture these animals and place them in zoos or other suitable habitats?  I realize a roaming bear or lion is quite dangerous and life-threatening to human beings.  However, shouldn’t these animals have been given the opportunity to be captured before using the kill ‘em approach?

Public safety versus animal cruelty is a tough call.  I’m just saying, SMH.

On Zachery Tims

by MullOverThis

Pastor Zachery Tims is deceased and news reports have mentioned the presence of a white powder on his person, which is being tested.  So, the implication is that drugs may have been involved.  Additionally, news reports have succinctly described Tims as, “…pastor of New Destiny Christian Center in Apopka, Florida who divorced his wife over an affair with a hooker…”

I definitely have a firm resolve concerning Pastor Tims and the type of preacher he represents:  the man who loves God and does all that he can for people to improve their lives.  “The man” is where the murky area lies.  Regardless of one’s religious convictions or beliefs, at some point, we have to decide what is good.  I do not have the power to, or would even be willing to toss Tims or anyone like him to the dogs;  some people  do have a conscience but don’t realize how their decisions will affect them until it is too late.  God’s grace is sufficent to cover any one of us, even at the last minute.

Mulloverthis:

Is it possible to be a “good man” when you are unfaithful and dishonor your wife even in public?

Is it possible to be a “good man” when your decisions make your children fatherless?

Is it possible to be a “good man” because you have done so many great things for every one but the ones whose lives rely upon your “goodness” the most?

Does  a “good man” direct donation money to support a drug addiction?

Does a “good man” pay for hotels and  flings to accompany him with church money?

Can a man be a ”great man(d) of God” if he’s not even a “good man”?

Does the crackhead who steals from his family but helps an old lady across the street become a poor soul who is a good person?

Are we allowed to really draw the line between good people and not so good people anymore?

Do the concepts of CHARACTER, INTEGRITY, ETHICS, RESPONSIBILITY, RELIABILITY, THOUGHTFULNESS, AND CONSIDERATION for people other than oneself mean anything?

Nice people do not necessarily translate into good people.

Good people often have to do things that are not nice.

What a man does, speaks much louder to what is really in his heart, than mere words.

The sum total of one’s acts does not outweigh or define the essence of a man’s character.

Good will and good intentions can kill in the absence of good character.

God certainly uses people who have not always been good.  But, I haven’t seen one instance where God used people who did not turn away from their non-goodness to become more like God.  The admirable thing about Zachery is that even in all of his struggles, he had enough faith to try and help others.  Ultimately, there is no point in representing a Christ who cannot give us the power to live a good life, especially when we plaster our faces on signs as leaders qualified to show you the way.  ZTims is not isolated in this troubled preacher identity.  We do not need ANOTHER man, who cannot live a good life, to feel more for people than to seek care for his own life.  The Kingdom of God is not a crutch for preachers’ issues and does not belong to preachers.   Preachers, SIT DOWN.  TAKE A SEAT.  You are not that important to the world.  No, you are not.  God can use anyone else to do what you do.  Go somewhere and sit down until you can be restored.  No one can blame “the church” for a man’s destructive choices.  Ask every drug addict who now lives in victory.  We are not going to gloss over mess and memorialize it as something good to make people feel good.  We have too much in Christ to continue in sin, and think church leaders should live just like men who do not KNOW God.

If there need not be any moral distinction and culpability for the kinds of ills that one man’s life exudes to become a plague in other people’s lives, and lead without adherence to the standard of what is good and right, then we owe Bin Laden an apology.
